Description
Studies have shown that CD8 is expressed more frequently in non-common type anaplastic lymphoma kinase positive anaplastic large cell lymphomas compared to the common form. The CD4:CD8 ratio may help distinguish mycosis fungoides from its inflammatory mimics or as an aid in determining clinical outcome in cervical carcinoma. CD8 may be used in panels with CD3, CD4, CD57 and TIA-1.
