Description
Several studies have associated the loss of E-cadherin with metastasis and poor prognosis in invasive breast cancer. Additional studies have suggested that E-cadherin can help differentiate between ductal and lobular neoplasms of the breast. E-cadherin immunostaining has also been shown to be an independent predictor of disease progression in bladder cancer.
