Description

Fluorescein Conjugated Antiserum to Human IgD is a specialized tool used in immunology research to detect and visualize human IgD antibodies. IgD is a type of immunoglobulin, or antibody, found in the bloodstream and is involved in the body’s immune response. The antiserum is produced by immunizing animals, such as rabbits or mice, with human IgD proteins. After immunization, the animals generate antibodies against IgD, which are then collected and purified to create the antiserum. To enhance visualization and detection, the antiserum is conjugated with fluorescein, a fluorescent dye. When this conjugated antiserum is applied to a sample containing IgD antibodies, the antibodies bind to the IgD molecules present. The fluorescein tag emits fluorescence when exposed to specific wavelengths of light, allowing researchers to visualize and localize the IgD antibodies within the sample using fluorescence microscopy or flow cytometry techniques. This tool is invaluable for studying the distribution, localization, and expression levels of IgD antibodies in various biological samples, aiding in the understanding of immune responses and diseases related to IgD.
